Muacks!

It is unusual to find a young lady these days who uses lipstick, as many prefer the natural look of a lip gloss or lip sheen. But I personally am still in search of that perfect lipstick right for me (enough of horrible shades of lip colours in my sec sch choir days). Here’s some tips to getting that perfect pout:

1) Not everyone is born with Angelina Jolie’s well defined lips. Use a lip liner in the shade of your natural lip colour to correct the shape of your lips. Go slow and steady with the lip liner. To make lip smaller, line the inner part of your lips, or to make the lips look thicker, line outside your lip shape.

2) To create the illusion of a fuller lips, use concealer or foundation just above and on natural lip line. Make sure it blends well and you will have the illusion of a full lips.

3) If you have an overpowering lower lip, use a lip liner to define the ‘cupid bow’ (which is tip of your lips), while leaving your lower lips alone. This will balance the effect of the bottom lip and top lip.

4) Bright red lipstick can really set you apart from the crowd, but it is not suitable for all skin types. If you have a healthy tan, use the warmer tones of lip colours instead, like the browns and the beige. You can also use a lip sheen/gloss with a tinge of bronze or gold in it. For those with relatively fair skin, be adventurous to try the reds and the fuschia pinks. Just make sure you have the right outfit on, like our model Claudine below.

Wanna know who is this good-looking girl? Let me present to you our poster girl of the week for Miss Glamourous, Miss Eileen.

We did a photoshoot for Eileen sometime last year for our portfolio. For the shoot we decided to create a young funky style for Eileen that complements her cheerful personality.

In order to create volume for her hair, we clamped all her hair. And most of the makeup was focused on her eyes and eyebrow area as Elanie has v nice eyes. We chose 3 colours for the eye shadow, in light, medium and dark tone. The light color was used to highlight her brow bone, followed by dark color along the eyelashes and medium color to cease.

This look is very versatile, because just by changing the hair style and adding more colours to the eye, it transforms Eileen for girl-next-door to ready to hit the dance floors. Suitable for dinner functions, clubbing or special outing for your loved ones.

So wait no more, girls! If you are looking for a makeover and become Poster Girl of the Week, do leave us a comment with your contact details and we will contact you right away!

Summer is here!!!!!!!!

Hello, all the ladies and gentlemen out there, summer is here. Time for sun tanning! I believe this is the favorite among youngsters. That explains why the beaches at Sentosa are packed everyday. Plus it’s the school holiday now………………….But all the pretty ladies and hulks, don’t forget about protection. How to protect your skin? Everybody have the answer is to apply sunscreen. The next question is how much SPF is required? The more the better? SPF numbers on a package can range from as low as 2 to as high as 60. These numbers refer to the product’s ability to screen or block out the sun’s burning rays. An average fair person takes about 10mins for the skin to turn red under the sun without any protection. However, when we apply SPF 2, the protection time is (10min X SPF 2) 20 minutes. This means after 20 minutes the skin will start to turn red. Another example, SPF 50 can protect up to (10min X SPF50) 500mins. Therefore how much SPF each individual needs depend on their exposure time.
So do office ladies need SPF protection? How much SPF?
SPF is definitely a must for everyone, because wherever there is light, there is UV rays. For those who work indoors in the office, they should use protection of SPF 15 to 20 as there is no long exposure of the sun. The higher the SPF, the oily-er the products get, so beware it will clog your pores. Protection is necessary but be careful not to overdo it. Always seek a balance and use in moderation
Hope the little tips above help; feel free to leave some comments if there is any questions.
Cheers,

Miss E
